Lindsay Lohan Out at Ungaro
(PARIS) What you have known since October is now official--Lindsay Lohan is no longer involved in Ungaro. The brand's "artistic advisor," who made fashion infamy last October when showing spangled pasties on the runway of one of the most storied couture houses in Paris, was unceremoniously dismissed from the fashion house sometime this week. Turns out, she wasn't even invited to the show, which was designed by Lohan's former collaborator Estrella Archs. Mounir Moufarrige, Ungaro's president and chief executive officer who hired Lohan last fall, resigned from his post in December. He was replaced by the brand's vice president Marie Fournier, who was named general manager to oversee all operations. Moufarrige, a veteran of Richemont, spent nearly four years at the house and hired just as many designers, from Giambattista Valli to Peter Dundas and Esteban Cortazar before hiring Archs and Lohan.
The only question: So why is Lohan still in Paris? She attended the Viktor & Rolf show, and had her photograph taken after Dior (which she missed), and she was even spotted at last night's Turkish Vogue party. Granted, the "New York, New York" party is quite compelling...
